Himalayan 450 Pannier Rack Install
CNC flat pannier racks for the Himalayan 450 - these are not the Royal Enfield stock racks but ones from eBay and supplied by r0yal-king - and it was a very fast delivery. Hi Mark About to pickup my 450 Kamet White (Perth, Western Australia) . Was looking at the Givi Canyon Universal Saddle Base GRT721 rackless system with the 20 litre bags. Did you have an opinion on whether they would suit or fit the 450 ? Was trying to keep the weight down.
I don’t know… I just have two CRM 102 bags which aren’t that big… and I put on a top box for a long trip Have also just used two side bags for up front… and have used a tank bag on other bikes but I don’t think I’ll use it on this bike…good luck

Yes had them on the 411 but will stick to soft panniers for this one- had nothing in them most of the time

Hey Mark , Excellent owners first take on the bike , What are your thoughts on it at 100-110kph if you have had the opportunity yet ? I ask because I have not had a chance to try one myself yet and I am seeing some say it vibrates and others say it is smooth.... 🤔 Look forward to watching your future adventures with the new Himi` ☺, Safe Travels.

Cruise at 115-120kmh all day probably once run in.
New nobbly tyre's in fure the s it.Got tubless spokes tyres now is good.

@@Stefan_trekkie It is very beautiful scenery here especially if you can get out on the gravel to remote areas & moto camp. You can moto camp on road bike too & some great rides about especially down South.
You go to the trouble to video the highest public road in NZ and you don't film the sign at the summit. 😵💫🤡
Doing alright for a couple of wiskery old fellas, ( I’m one too!). How hard it is depends on how much rain it’s had before you go through, sometimes it can get really interesting, looks like you got lucky and had a really good ride, beautiful through there isn’t it, well worth a look!

Living the dream,You sure do get about Mark.There was a few touching cloth🩲 bit's going up that hill lucky there was a guy to give you a push.That hill was DRz territory too not Classic 500 but with a push you made it & got Legendary Status for it.
I would of loved to have been brought up there on that bush farm & love to live there now. That farmer your brother by the look of it.

That was like watching history repeating itself from my ride through there with a mate in January. We too thought we'd avoided the deepest of the crossing and then I got stuck in that ditch too. A few of those rocks that were in there were probably from us! Really enjoyed the memory! Thanks for the vid.

Did you guys have on/off road tyres on. DRZ 400-650 country in there would handle that mud easily but then you wouldn't get Legendary Status that you guys earned taking a Classic 500 over it,great stuff.

What a great trip. I did the Rainbow Stn road on the way home from the Geraldine Rally on my Bullet 500. Only regret was doing it solo, it's just too stunning not to share it with someone.

@@LifetimeBiker Dain 🌲 tree was here & got the whole hog of Kiwi spring Cold🥶,wet,warm.It is warming up now but without that Northern Australian humidity. Lucky bugger went on those Hampton Downs go-carts.

Awesome rides over that way. Pity RE shop went bust in Hastings & RE community didn't take off in Hawkes Bay.Every 2nd bike is a Harley here & every 3rd is ADV non Himmy.Looked like a fantastic time.

That road looked pretty good nice & hard & compact gravel dirt roads not loose & deep must get alot of use.Loose deep stuff a nightmare on road bike with road tyre's.
